Because they'd only been on three dates, Oliver decided not to bring Holly to Janice's wedding. However, the woman he did bring bailed quickly when she overheard him implying that it was more serious than it was, so he called Holly and begged her to come. She did, but when she saw the name-plate with his other date's name on it, she figured out he'd invited another woman and she left in anger.
